Supporting Eco-Tourism In Hawaiʻi
Hawaii Green Business Awardee & Hawaii Ecotourism Association Certified
Our company mission is to:
We want to connect visitors to our missions by experiencing thru cultural, historical or regional references.
Sustainability: We have a responsibility to continually improve our operations for the benefit of the community at large. We want to support important community organizations so they have a long future. We want to make sure that Maui is always a choice destination. Tourism is our industry and Maui should be the leader in every way, including environmental.
Cultural: Diversity is incredibly important but every culture is under pressure. We not only want to support cultural preservation, but also encourage it’s continued conscious adaptation while emphasizing relevance of both to modern society. Hawaiian culture can thrive, adapt and be a positive force in the industry; in the making of corporate, local and state policy and in improving quality of life for all.
Educational: People just love Hawaiʻi. It’s impact has been, and continues to be, worldwide. Visitors to Hawaiʻi want to learn and become knowledgeable about it’s special places, cultures, and people. All too often the knowledge they’re informally given is wrong. So, we want to set a few things straight. From moral teachings, mythology and religion, plant and water usage, ancient voyaging and fishing techniques to childhood stories… or even just a recent experience or event that was so spectacular it should be made timeless through story. Knowledge is indeed power and there is great power in stories.
Community: We want to give people a peek into what life is like on Maui… the kindness of strangers and locals alike, the triumphs and hardships, the fun of a baby luau or a funeral of a beloved Auntie. We want to hear about the life of the paniolos, the pineapple field workers, how the last time a hurricane came in and Jaws was raging and the amazement of witnessing some of the world’s finest surfers ride giant waves and how they lived to tell about it. We want to develop new Maui stories to create awareness of the ongoing challenges in our community and hear about ideas and perspectives (solutions) that will allow us all to create a better life for all.
Love, fear, peace, war, joy, jealousy, freedom, greed, gratitude, loss, acceptance, contentment and more is experienced by us. And so, these can be found in all of the greatest stories ever told. Just remember, it’s all in the telling. And, we’d love to hear yours!
