Things To Do This Valentines Day 2019

Hawaiʻi is for lovers – so the saying goes.  Maui is a romantic place no matter what time of year you visit but especially on Valentine’s Day.  Why?  Well here are just a few ideas for you to ponder if you’re bringing your sweetheart on a Maui Valentine vacation!

Romantic Land Activities

Take A Romantic Tour To Hana

Hana is an amazingly romantic place.  There are so many things to see along this incredible road that it’s impossible to see it all in one day.  However if you’re thinking about a single day trip keep in mind that it’s a long day (10 to 12 hours) on a very twisting and narrow road which may not seem very romantic.  In fact people who have driven it themselves have nicknames for this road that are far from romantic!  If you wish to sit back and relax with your loved one while taking in one of the top 5 scenic drives in the world you may want to consider booking a Hana tour.  The smaller vans of  around 12 passengers will give you plenty of snuggle room and you’ll have a local guide to take care of everything… which is always “mo betta” when visiting Maui!

The Whales Are Here!

February is a big month for Maui’s most famous visitors – Humpback whales!  The full moon in February is known as one of the most active times for an estimated 1300+ whales cruising all around Maui.  The baby humpbacks can be seen splashing about with their mothers and males intensify their breaching theatrics before the beginning of their return to Alaskan waters starting in mid to late March. It’s a great chance to do some Maui whalewatching with your sweetheart!

Your Maui Valentine Gift Ideas

If you love to pamper your lady (and yourself for that matter) there is probably no better gift to be had in Maui than some time at the many amazing spas throughout the island.  Most people who visit Maui in the winter have not been very active because of the cold weather back home.  Swimming, snorkeling, jet lag, playing in the winter shore-break or walking the hot beaches or streets of Lahaina can take a toll on almost any traveler. With that in mind let’s take a look at a couple of the best romantic spa getaways in Maui..

Travasaa Hana
