Majestic Sunrise, Incredible Stargazing, Personal Service & So Much More
Greeting the sunrise in Haleakalā National Park is one of the most popular things to do on Maui. Experience perhaps the most beautiful sunrise on Earth with our professional, local guides on one of our Haleakalā Sunrise Tours.
For almost 150 years, visitors to Maui have ascended Haleakalā to experience the miracle of demi-god Maui’s efforts. But for over 1000 years, before those early missionaries climbed the mountain, Haleakalā was considered sacred by Hawaiians. Known as wao akua, or “realm of the gods,” Haleakalā’s summit was visited only when necessary, and only then by certain individuals such as kapuna (“priests”). Learn how Haleakalā’s animals, plants, and rocks all developed a special meaning and purpose.
Come with us as we explore the stories of this enchanted realm. Be inspired by the National Park landscape, and immerse yourself in the sacredness of Haleakala’s summit.
It’s home to the largest concentration of endangered species in any park in the Nation. This unique and tranquil dormant volcano is a great place to start the day.
We reach the summit prior to sunrise to see the beautiful colors of morning. You can be at ease and have your cameras out and ready.
Our tour goes through Maui’s magnificent Upcountry with farms and ranches on the landscape and breathtaking ocean views that span far and wide.
Group size is limited to 12 guests per guide. Our custom-built Maui sunrise tour cruisers come in 12 and 24-passenger sizes (the latter consists of a second guide to ensure your comfort and safety.
