Pools of Oheo Gulch for swimming, just past Hana in Haleakala National Park.

The tour was fabulous-the tour guide was the best we had ever had on a drive tour. The tour guide was the best informed and cordial...I would recommend this tour to everyone. The Best Day On Maui!!

Haleakala National Park

Visitors the Island of Hawaii want to definitely do a few things; visiting the rain forests and enjoying a swim under a beautiful Maui waterfall. At the Pools of Oheo you can enjoy that swim in wonderful pools of fresh, cool, clean water just feet from the rough ocean of the eastern coastline of Maui.

Hiking to the end of the Pipiwai trail to see a 400' waterfall is awe inspiring. It's the main attraction, but the gulch has many secret pools and waterfalls, including the Queen's hidden pool. This area definitely requires a bit more time and deserves to be revisited a few times while you are on your Maui vacation. Unless you are staying in Hana; either at one of the hotels, Bed & Breakfasts or in the campground you wouldn't be able to see everything Maui's Haleakala national park has to offer.

The Seven Pools of Oheo Gulch and Beyond

On a Road to Hana tour with Valley Isle Excursions there is so much to see before you get to the seven pools of Oheo Gulch that you should have enough time to visit the Infinity Pool or get to the edge of the Bamboo forest during this road to Hana stop. We suggest that you let your Maui Tour guide know that seeing not just the seven pools but also taking a hike up the gulch are your biggest priorities. Our tour groups are quite small, at most only 12 people, so we can be quite flexible on the Hana stops and the timing at each. The guides on our Maui tours top priority is to make sure that you have your very best day on Maui with us.
