We really love Hawaii and we love to show it. Taking visitors to Hana is one of the best jobs a person can have. It’s a beautiful land filled with tropical wonders, history and lovely people. We really try hard to make sure everyone has the best day on Maui. Road to Hana Tour - “We took to Road to Hana with Joe on Sunday November 13th – we appreciated hearing stories of the land and the people of Hawaii – Mahalo Joe – there seems to be a great deal of commonalities with the First Nation peoples of Canada in terms of respect for mother earth! We truly enjoyed our day”

Road to Hana Tour - “Had Pu as a driver. She was absolutely AMAZING! She shared so much information and her knowledge of the road was crazy. It was a beautiful drive and so wonderful to be able to relax and listen to Pu talk. She has a great relaxing voice. I was so glad to be able to take the road to Hana without worrying about the curves, bridges and all the stops!”

Road to Hana Tour - “We once tried to drive this famous Hana Road but failed to complete the route. I’m glad that this time, we went with Valley Isle. our driver, Iwii, was so professional and passionate about his job, navigated the curves in a way that I never once felt any motion sickness – great job Valley Isle.”

Road to Hana Tour - “I am not going to restate what many already have over and over. If your are going to go, take Valley Isle! My wife and I tried driving this a few years ago and it was a disaster. Only made it about half way and turned back as many do. As the driver you don’t really see anything as your eyes are on the many turns and narrows. I was surprised that they actually went all the way around the island instead of just returning on the original route. The road is a little rough but you see many things you wouldn’t with other tours. One suggestion I might have is if you plan on swimming at any of the stops you had better wear your suit. There isn’t really time to change and I didn’t really see any changing areas.”

Road to Hana Tour - “Before our trip to Maui, I consulted Tripadvisor to make some “tough” decisions. We were completely torn about whether to drive the Road to Hana ourselves OR take a tour. We generally like to explore on our own… and go “off the beaten path” but eventually, my husband and I decided that we BOTH wanted to enjoy the scenery. We didn’t want to stress about one lane bridges, slick pavement and dodging rocks in the road. This vacation was for RELAXING! So, I researched tour companies obsessively! We decided on Valley Isle Excursions b/c they go BEYOND Hana to the Pools At Oheo, Lindbergh’s grave & a winery (in the end, though, we were most impressed with the scenery past Hana it was so rugged & changed at every turn – from forests to deserts to canyons). Anyways, the positive reviews about Tim from Valley Isle Excursions were endless so we booked the tour & specifically requested Tim. This ended up being the highlight of our trip! I don?t usually write reviews, but Tim was hands-down the best tour guide that we have ever had.
First of all, the shuttle itself was very comfy with spacious/plush seats and plenty of leg room. The cooler of soda & water was bottomless. Tim regularly asked about the temp, whether any of us were experiencing motion sickness, etc. Actually, Tim offered some tips for avoiding motion sickness and it worked (I was worried about that!).
Tim knew the best vantage points for viewing/photographing waterfalls and other scenic lookouts. He bent over backwards to help take photos (he has learned a lot about photography over the years and had some great tips for composing shots? he knew my camera better than I did). We also were blown away by Tim’s level of knowledge about the island’s flora, history, etc. Most importantly, he’s a genuinely nice guy w/ a lot of positive energy.
While I would have liked to spend a bit more time at some of the stops, we made the right decision b/c we were able to see so many different attractions AND learn things along the way. One could always rent a car & go back to hike @ particular spots, after getting a taste of what the Road has to offer.
So, in sum, we highly recommend Tim’s tours for Valley Isle!”
