"What a trip. My wife rode with another Company 2 years ago 'It was OK'. But with Valley Isle Excursions the trip was out of this world...our tour guide gets a 5-Star rating in our book. This was our daughter's first time in Maui, and on this trip and she says it was 'Awesome And Fun'. Thanks!!"

Maui Hawaii Waterfalls

These waterfalls can be seen from the famous road to Hana. A very short hike takes you through a sampling of the lush vegetation typical of Maui's rainforest. Swimming holes at base of the waterfalls are a wonderful place to take a dip in the cool mountain water.

Waterfalls on the Hana Road are fed by the Rains and moisture from Haleakala, it takes anywhere from 6 to 12 hours for the water to travel down to create these wonderful waterfalls.

To the Hawaiians, this water is life, for it feeds their Taro farms. The taro is grown hydroponically, this allows the water to continue its path to the Ocean, this fresh water enters the ocean and creates food for the fish and the coral. The minerals that have been collected on the waters journey to Ocean is rich and necessary for Ocean life. Want to learn More? Join us on the Road To Hana Waterfalls Tour.

Road To Hana Hawaii Waterfalls | Maui Waterfall Tours

The beauty of the road to Hana and it's waterfalls are enhanced with an elevated perspective. Our road to Hana tour vans are elevated so that you can get the very best view without having to leave the van. Guardrails keep people safe and safety is important on the Hana highway. These guardrails are just high enough to block your view of the waterfall, if sitting in a lower rental vehicle or even a jeep. Enjoy the scenery of the Hana road and take your pictures through the huge windows of our tour vans while keeping your camera dry. Everyone else on the road needs to stop, find a lace to park and hike back to bridge. In some cases, it's almost impossible, because of the limited space on the sides of the highway. This allows our Hana tour guides to show you more of the island's waterfalls and other amazing sites then you would have on your own.

Maui Waterfalls Are Stunning

The waterfalls are mainly found on the north and northeast slopes of the mountains that make up Maui. Hana Maui is situated on the North-east corner of Maui and Mount Haleakala. Since Mount Haleakala is so much larger and taller then the West Maui Mountains, most of the waterfalls in Maui are on it's slopes. Starting in Haiku, there are creeks flowing under the Hana highway every mile or so. As you travel up the coast towards Hana, the land becomes very steep and the road follows the coastline of cliffs and gulches. In these steep gulches, cutting into Mount Haleakala, streams pour over hundreds of waterfalls on it's way down to the ocean. The road to Hana passes over these streams a different points in the journey to the ocean but in most cases, at each stream, there is a wonderful setting, accentuated by the waterfall. The best waterfalls are found around Hana in Maui. the biggest waterfall seen from the Hana Highway is located past Hana, just a few miles before The Seven Pools of Oheo Gulch.

There are hundreds of waterfalls on each of the 56 streams that must be crossed on the road to Hana. in many cases, those without tour guides, tend to stop at the first few bridges, spending a lot of time at them. Our tour guides know the best waterfalls on the Road to Hana and they want to maximize your time at those. Our waterfall tour allows you to enjoy the best experience of those first waterfalls that others stop at from the comfort of our tour van. There are plenty of waterfalls that the tour CDs and guidebooks mention but only a tour guide can show you the best for that day and can properly interpret what you want to see so that you do get to see it. Maximize your time on Maui and enjoy Maui Waterfall Tours.
