Maui Hawaii Waterfalls

These waterfalls can be seen from the famous road to Hana. A very short hike takes you through a sampling of the lush vegetation typical of Maui's rainforest. Swimming holes at base of the waterfalls are a wonderful place to take a dip in the cool mountain water.

Water Falls on the Hana Road are fed by the Rains and moisture from Haleakala, it takes anywhere from 6 to 12 hours for the water to travel down to create these wonderful falls.

To the Hawaiians, this water is life, for it feeds their Taro farms. The taro is grown hydroponically, this allows the water to continue its path to the Ocean, this fresh water enters the ocean and creates food for the fish and the coral.
